Manas Bam, a Stanford dropout, and Samarth P., an ex-Google SWE, are the founders of the San Francisco-based startup Kairos.computer. They were looking to bring on AI Engineer interns to support their early-stage work.
Manas knew us from past founder meetups and common founder groups. So, when he was looking to hire interns for his startup, he connected with us.
Gathering the requirements
We got a good overview of the requirements from him. The focus was on identifying engineering students who had a good understanding of the fundamentals and were hands-on with the latest AI trends too like MCP.
We handled all work around sourcing, resume shortlisting, forwarding the take-home assignment, and setting up interviews.
In sourcing, based on the requirements, we specifically looked for proven experience with the latest AI trends like MCP, fine-tuning, LoRA, etc.
Success!
After following our tight process for a few weeks, we were able to find them two good engineering students who aced through all the rounds and were a good fit for Kairos:
With clear requirements from the founders and a quick, focused process, we were able to help Kairos.computer close both hires efficiently.
